A place built for creators who care about the craft.

Dockshoot Rentals was born from a simple idea: every filmmaker deserves a quiet, beautiful space that feels like home.

Our story

Founded in a converted Brooklyn warehouse by two cinematographers, Dockshoot Rentals began with a single studio and one rolling rack of lighting. Word spread quickly among commercial directors and independent storytellers who valued warmth over sterility.

Today we operate eight purpose-built studios across the city. Every space is designed by filmmakers for filmmakers: matte black walls, 14-foot ceilings, silent HVAC, and the kind of natural light that makes color grading a joy instead of a battle.

Our mission

We exist to give creators quiet studios, honest hospitality, and the technical backbone they need to focus on telling better stories.

01
Hospitality first

Every client is treated like a guest, not a transaction.

02
Craft over scale

We grow slowly so every studio stays impeccably maintained.

03
Community

We host monthly workshops, screenings and mentorship sessions.
